KIN STORIES

August Update

At KIN Culture we value community. The western world has been built upon the ideologies of individualism and humanism. Careers, riches and success have often been achieved at the expense of relationships and healthy values. The world is again embracing the idea of community. We are better together.

One of our core values are relationships. KIN Culture is built around the idea that we value people not by what they do, but by who they are. Over the past month we have been blessed by the relationships that have been built. We now have a medical team who will strategise and plot the way forward for the children to have world class medical care on the village. We are also working on teams to strategise in the areas of agriculture, education and business for the KIN Culture village. We are excited by these developments because we will be a community of disciples serving vulnerable children.

We have enough stories to fill dozens of pages. Our strength lies in sharing stories that show God’s goodness, because we know that He will do it again. We have also had to learn how to deal with setbacks. We are part of God’s story. We firmly belief that what we sometimes see as the end is only the unfolding of God’s plan. At present we are trusting God for provision.

This is only the start of the journey. We have met amazing people along the way. KIN Culture will be a fresh organic expression of church as a community. The best part is that we get to make friends and serve each other. We are excited by the prospect of bringing orphans into families and watching them grow in the context of a community.

Please pray with us in the following areas:

– Specific guidance in the area of pursuing land
– Strategic funding
– Working with authorities in the area of registrations, land and government partnerships

Feel free to contact us and watch this space for upcoming information sessions.
